Lucky Cement recently honored with the National CSR Excellence Award by the CSR Association of Pakistan. Each year, these awards are given to companies that play active role in fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility. Lucky Cement has won this award for three consecutive years. This year, the Company also received an award for Best Corporate Communications for its benchmark projects related to reporting, publications and all internal and external communications.
Lucky Cement’s CSR initiatives and contributions towards the betterment of society have always been recognized and acknowledged. Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy also ranked Lucky Cement’s philanthropic contribution for social development in Pakistan by ranking it among top 10 out of 532 public listed companies in terms of total volume of donations.
Extending the spirit of energy efficiency and to spread the awareness, Lucky Cement celebrated the Earth Hour 2012 on March 31^st, 2012.Lucky Cement, as exclusive supporter of WWF-Pakistan’s Earth Hour Campaign, lit candles at Mazar-e-Quaid and sang national songs. Noman Hasan, Lucky Cement’s COO was also present on the occasion. He said that he is thankful and appreciative of all those who are part of this campaign.
